Mother Nature (portrayed)

Moving from metropolis to the back of the beyond changed my perception and literally my horizon. Nature of the southern Danish inland sea is not that spectacular, nor is the living. Natural disasters can almost be excluded (don't know about the remaining risk though), except for an occasional storm or the common seasonal irritations. 2 month with snow and ice are in this part of the world already considered to be a natural catastrophe. Slows you down on your way to work.

You learn to live with nature here though, the seasons are affecting your life much more than in the urban areas. I really enjoy the calmness and straightness of the landscape surrounding me, and certainly the open sky.  My taste of music changed from rhythmical and expressive forms to more harmonic, condensed and fluent forms for solo instruments and small groups. Bach instead of Beethoven, Ambient instead of Bebop, classical guitar instead of symphonic orchestra. And finally I started to portray the landscape forming my life now.

Visit southern Denmark! Especially the smaller islands. No nuclear power plants around, water only 5 feet deep (that would make a 2 feet tsunami, I guess), and people at least trying to smile even if there is no catastrophe close-by.
