Jeff Bridges & The Academy Awards

Academy Awards night - and quick change artist Jeff Bridges is nominated again, this time for being his own personal John Wayne in True Grit.

Jeff Bridges truly is one of my favourite actors, not only for the notorious "Big Lebowski" but rather for Door in the floor (2004) and Oscar winning Crazy Heart (2009), both outsider artist parts. His desperat bohemians are so close to this life form that I literally forget about his acting. Especially in Crazy Heart I wondered if this actually was a Kris Kristofferson documentary.

I sincerely hope he does it again tonight, winning an Oscar, I mean. After all I have spent a lot of inspiring hours in The Dude's company - particulary lately while exploring his face (if you can draw his hair and beard, you can draw anything...).
